Position Summary


i9 Sports, a Youth Enrichment Brands company, is seeking a talented and passionate Technical Project Manager to work with a cross-functional team to shape and guide the present and future development of i9 Sports’ Information Technology platforms. You will work with an existing development team to maintain and improve our proprietary registration platform and associated applications. Success in this role requires belief in the mission, conviction in the development process, and a commitment to keeping stakeholders aligned and on task. The job requires a strong appreciation and understanding of the power of sports and enrichment programs in shaping the future of our youth. i9 Sports is based in Tampa, FL and this is a full-time position with remote or hybrid work possible.  i9 Sports is a wholly owned subsidiary of Youth Enrichment Brands based in San Rafael, CA.  This position will report to the VP of Technology at Youth Enrichment Brands. To be successful in this role, you will need the ability to develop relationships, manage multiple activities/projects at once, and demonstrate strong communication skills.

Objectives of this Role

·      Be the primary liaison between the business and IT development team when scoping requirements, including prioritizing and managing projects that have the biggest impact alongside the Director of IT
·      Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
·      Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, and schedule, in collaboration with stakeholders
·      Analyze project and communicate progress and, when necessary, adapt scope and timelines to ensure that stakeholders adhere to project requirements
·      Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes as needed
·      Collaborate with members of the functional departments including Operations, Finance, Marketing, Purchasing, Senior Leadership and sister brands to prioritize and report on most important projects

Key Responsibilities


·      Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects
·      Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors and developers
·      Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
·      Ensure code is adequately tested and documented before being released into production
·      Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans

Skills and Qualifications

·      Intimate knowledge of Agile Software Development Life Cycle
·      Ability to manage Agile process including writing user stories, managing iterations and backlogs
·      3+ years project management experience
·      Ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority
·      Hands-on experience with developing web technologies and software platforms for maximum usability
·      Experience with mobile app development a plus
·      Experience troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions in a production environment
·      Experience analyzing tradeoffs between features, customer requests, and producibility
·      Proven track record of influencing at all levels in a cross functional team environment
·      Strong written and verbal communication skills
·      Strong presentation skills
·      Previous success in producing deliverable software platforms
·      Experience developing in-house platforms for internal processes
·       

Preferred Qualifications


·      Professional certification (e.g., PMP)
·      Project tools experience – Azure DevOps, JIRA, Asana, monday.com, etc.
·      High level of curiosity
·      Dynamic problem solver
·      Transparent, open communicator
·      Strong attention to deadlines
·      Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets.

This position will play a crucial role in maintaining the effective functioning of our financial operations across multiple subsidiaries, aligning with established protocols and internal standards as well as reviewing and analyzing current processes for potential improvements. This role is for a self-motivated, reliable individual, who, by ensuring financial integrity and promoting financial transparency, will contribute to the rapid growth and success of the company.
