Job Overview: USSC is seeking an experienced Director of Growth and Partnerships to help grow and manage the Nike Softball Camps category. This person possesses a deep network of professional, college, high school, and club coaches and a proven track record of scaling youth programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about softball and youth development. This person has a successful track record of hitting revenue targets while building and managing a prospect pipeline. With the guidance from management, this person will lead the entire sales process from research, to contact, to close, while working closely with the operations team to achieve alignment and seamless onboarding. This person will be responsible for matching partner needs with different USSC’s services to create productive partnerships. Success in this role requires competitiveness, resourcefulness, incredible partnership management, financial acumen, and most importantly, an understanding of what has made USSC successful for the past 47 years: a full commitment to servicing our coaches and an unwavering passion for youth athletic and personal development. This is a full-time role located at the US Sports Camps Headquarters in San Rafael, CA (remote option available). The start date for this position will be November 1st ,2022.
The Job:
· Expanding camp locations and offerings with existing Camp Directors (coaches)
· Managing and expanding the scope of current relationships with Camp Directors and facilities
· Managing contracts and payments with Camp Directors and facilities
· Managing softball category budget, forecasting, and P&L
· Oversee softball category operations and customer service
· Budgeting, ordering, and allocating product for camps (t-shirts, prizes, etc.)
· High level customer service
The Ideal Candidate:
· A former softball coach, player, or administrator with a network and understanding of what makes a great youth development experience
· Strong track record in sales and account management
· Experience in budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and contract negotiation
· A demonstrated passion for athletics and social impact
· Experience with camp management and operations
· Excellent interpersonal communication and “people skills”
· Patience, stress-tolerance, ability to think quickly, and a proactive work style
· Proficient verbal, written, mathematic, and computer skills (including Microsoft applications)
· A Bachelor’s degree or higher
